Sharing on behalf of Asia Society Museum & WEAI Columbia 🎬 In a rare New York appearance, acclaimed French-Vietnamese filmmaker Tran Anh Hung joins filmmaker and professor Tony Bui for a special dialogue. The evening explores Tran’s distinctive cinematic language and creative evolution, featuring carefully selected scenes from across his celebrated body of work.🎥 At Viet Film Fest 2024, Tran Anh Hung’s “The Taste of Things” lingered with audiences through its rich, sensory world—while, in a separate spotlight, Tony Bui reintroduced his landmark debut “Three Seasons” in a stunning 4K presentation. Two distinct cinematic moments, each leaving their own lasting imprint at Viet Film Fest, presented by the Vietnamese American Arts & Letters Association 📍 This program is presented by Asia Society in partnership with Columbia University’s Weatherhead East Asian Institute, through its Vietnam Arts in Action initiative.
