Director's Statement
Trinh is an extremely creative, sensitive, and talented mixed-media artist. Our biggest challenge was to showcase her work in its disparate forms while highlighting the underlying passion that informs her art: the deep empathy she feels for the human condition, whether dealing with a friend’s cancer, reflecting on a tender moment with a loved one, or exploring the Vietnamese Diaspora through her own family’s history.
Whether this is your first introduction to Trinh’s art, or you are already familiar with it, it is my hope that this film will help you better understand Trinh and her deeply personal work.
