Volunteers Wanted! ViFF needs volunteers for various committees such as Public Relations, Gala, Guest Relations, Translation, and Operations. If you'd like to support the arts in the community, build personal and professional networks, fulfill extracurricular activity requirements, or simply make new friends, please join us! Public Relations: write film reviews, press releases and interview filmmakers. You will go on TV/radio shows to talk about ViFF as well as make presentations about ViFF to different community or student-based groups. Gala: help coordinate the Opening and Closing Galas, and the Awards Ceremony. Opening Night will take place at Edwards Universtiy Cinema 6, Irvine. Closing Night and the Awards Ceremony will be held at UCI. Guest Relations: coordinate the itinerary for the filmmkers from out of town, make information folders for all filmmakers, and prepare goodie bags for ViFF's special guests. Translations: translate articles for the media, web, and festival catalogue. If you are comfortable in front of an audience, there is also opportunity to be a translator at the film screenings. We need both Vietnamese-to-English and English-to-Vietnamese translators. Operations: usher people into their seats, distribute surveys, sell tickets and merchandise such as T-shirts and DVD's.
