ViFF Chat... What's THAT? Check out ViFF Chat, a brand new 30-minute weekly TV program on VHN-TV! VHN-TV is a 24/7 Vietnamese-language channel that broadcasts via Direct-TV on channel # 2073. The purpose of ViFF Chat is to showcase new Vietnamese talent in the film industry. Set in a casual, relaxing and artistic atmosphere of Café Picasso in Westminster, Orange County-California, host Thanh Tam chats with both on-camera and behind-the-scenes people including directors, actors, producers, music composers, make-up artists, directors of photography, production designers, etc. So far Tam has chatted with actors Kieu Chinh (THE JOY LUCK CLUB, JOURNEY FROM THE FALL), Catherine Thuy Ai (SPIRITS, GREEN DRAGON), Long Nguyen (JOURNEY FROM THE FALL), Jayvee Mai The Hiep (JOURNEY FROM THE FALL), Mai Khanh (DUST OF LIFE), Linh Le (FIRST MORNING, DUST OF LIFE), and directors Le-van Kiet (DUST OF LIFE), David Ngo (THE QUEEN FROM VIRGINIA: THE JACKIE BONG WRIGHT STORY), Billy Vu Lam (All in a Day's Work), Tuan Tran & Kelly Miyashiro (FINDING MADISON), etc. Superimposing film clips, photos, and music throughout the show, ViFF Chat aims to give the audience a more complete experience of the art of filmmaking.
