Nguyen Quang Dung belongs to a new generation of young film directors from Vietnam, all of whom were born after the war. In 1999, he graduated from The College of Film and Plays in Ho Chi Minh City. Four years later, he directed a television movie called Con Ga Trong (The Cock), and within the following year, he composed the music for the blockbuster hit Nhung Co Gai Chan Dai (Long-Legged Girls). In addition to being a film director, Dung also directs music shows, television game shows, and other events. He writes songs, produces CDs, and occasionally writes for newspapers. Dung is currently planning to film a new feature film and television series for which he is both the scriptwriter and director. He is single and smokes a lot. If you wish to know more, challenge him to a round of table tennis. Dung used to compete in the Vietnamese Table Tennis Championships when he was a teenager. Hon Truong Ba, Da Hang Thit (Souls on Swings) was his first feature film. Nu Hon Than Chet (The Hot Kiss) became a blockbuster in Vietnam when it was released at the end in 2007. Dung recently released Giai Cuu Than Chet, the sequel to Nu Hon Than Chet.
