Hoa Vu

Vu Trung Hoa studied films at UCSD. He’s heavily exposed to the works of Godard, Pasolini, Fasbinder, Wyler, Lubitsch, and Kitano. Some of his earlier videos were screened at the first ViFF 2003, including Boc Hoi, Hoai Cam, and dusifu. Upon graduation from pharmacy school, he was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Navy. He was deployed to the Expeditionary Medical Facility in Kuwait in 2007. He is now in the Reserves.
