Charlie Nguyen

Charlie spent his teenage years watching and dreaming about filmmaking. His passion led him to establish Cinema Pictures, a production company shooting music videos for the recording artists in the Vietnamese community. Since then, he has produced and directed numerous music videos, concerts, and comedy programs for various productions. He also wrote and directed, Thai Hung Vuong 18, a historical martial-arts action feature, and Chances Are, a romantic comedy. Charlie co-wrote and directed The Rebel, which opened for ViFF 2007 and was released in Vietnam nationwide.  In 2008, Charlie led a group of students, K3FSP, in a shooting script workshop and together they directed Tieng Cho Tru.
