Bui Kim Quy

Screenwriter and director, Bui Kim Quy, grew up in Ha Noi as the daughter of a factory worker and a housewife. As a child, she dreamt of being a poet like Xuan Dieu, one of Viet Nam’s most famous romantic poets.  Bui Kim Quy’s work takes a critical look at how households juggle the family’s practical and traditional needs.
