MEDIA ACCREDITATION POLICY
The Vietnamese International Film Festival (ViFF) welcomes journalists and media representatives to its 4th biennial edition whose theme is Into View. This year’s festival runs through two weekends: April 2-5 and 9-12, 2009 predominantly at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and throughout Southern Californian venues.
To foster greater community participation, ViFF offers High School Day on April 3rd free to all high school students with a valid student ID, as well as Senior Citizen Day on April 10th free for attendees over 60 years old. Both days will be held at Bowers Museum in Santa Ana.
Due to the demand for press tickets and the number of anticipated sold-out screenings, we kindly ask you to observe the following guidelines:
To be admitted to film screenings, symposia and/or workshops, journalists, photographers, television crew members and media representatives need to respond by contacting ViFF via email VietFilmFest@yahoo.com or calling the PR/Media contacts below and getting on the official press list no later than midnight, March 25th. When you call, please have your name, media affiliation and the dates or events that you would like to attend ready. (If you are unsure whether you are on our press list, please call the contacts below to confirm.)
On the day of the event for which you are interested in attending, please arrive 20 minutes BEFORE the start time. This will allow ample time for you to visit the nearby press table, verify your identification, receive a press ID badge, and a ticket for the event. We are unable to permit any press to enter public screenings unless they are officially on the press list. Opening and Closing Nights and special events are by invitation only and are expected to be sold out. Please inquire about admittance to these events prior to your arrival.
