Director: Tony Toka
This personal documentary explores the demise of small business
opportunities for Hispanic and Asian immigrant families at a swapmeet in the San Fernando Valley. Growing up as a swapmeet kid for 14 years, the director recounts making and saying good-bye to life-long friends at a moment’s notice and the eventual closing of his own family’s business. He revisits the swapmeet and encounters some familiar faces he has not seen for years.
